rocapus turbinatus Gaertn.f. - can become 100 – 1000 years old, grows near water. Malaysia, Myanmar (Birma), Thailand en southern India.

Fast growing bamboo. Common in tropical Asia. Can grow upto 30 meters, diameter 15 to 18 centimeter.
