Projects

The menu on the right features everything we have realised these past years, and what we are focusing on at the moment. It all started with buying free two street elephants: Sri Nuan and Dok Ngeon. The journey to the Elephant Nature Park was accompanied with and educational elephant programme on elementary schools.

Every issue concerning elephants can be retraced to one problem: the enormous deforestation that has happened in Thailand. No trees, no elephants. This is why Bring the Elephant Home is currently working on several reforestation projects. Here you can follow their progress. Our goal is 100,000 trees for elephants. Will you help? Support this project here!

Bring the Elephant Home has had a relatively short existence so far, but we have achieved a lot. Thanks to your support!

The media has shown a warm interest. With, among other things, radio interviews on BNN, Radio 2, Vroege Vogels, Kink FM, Radio Rijnmond, Radio Ayutthaya and MCOT-radio; and articles in Het Parool, de Telegraaf, Spits, Leven, Jonas, Grasduinen, Milieudefensie Magazine, Chang Puak; and television interviews on ITV, Channel 5, 7, and 11.

In September of 2006 the book about Bring the Elephant Home’s first project was released: Thaise Olifanten Van De Straat. This summer we hope an English translation will be published.
