Antoinette wins the Terre des Femmes award 2009
Baarn, 30 January 2009. Today Antoinette won the Terre des Femmes award 2009 with our project Trees for Elephants. Terre des Femmes is an annual award of the Yves Rocher Fondation for women with inspiring projects for the environment. The activities of these women should be unique, original and an example for others. Our project Trees for Elephants meets those standards, so that’s why we won the first price of 5.000 euro! The Terre des Femmes award will be used for our project in Salakpra Wildlife Sanctuary, where we will plant trees and create more diversity and elephant habitat for the 174 wild elephants that are living there.
