Documentary Animal Planet completed
The filmcrew of NCF (Nature Conservation Films) filmed Sri Nuan and Douk Ngern since the day they arrived in the Elephant Nature Park. The movie clearly shows how traumatized domestic elephants can change once they are back in their natural environment among other elephants. Sri Nuan and Douk Ngern seem to be two different elephants! The picture shows cameraman Bob Poole filming Sri Nuan, who is keeping a close eye on baby’s Thong Jan and Aura, seeing to it that they don’t play to rough with her adopted child Pupia. Sri Nuan corrects them with her trunk, when they are fighting each other on top of Pupia. Now this is a good way of training elephants! There won’t be that many domestic elephants who learn to become a grownup elephant like this.
The documentary about Bring the Elephant HOME has been sold to Animal Planet and will be on-air worldwide april 2008.
