Street elephants in Sukhothai
On our first night in Sukhothai we already see a five year old elephant walking on the street next to the nightmarket. From the people at the radio station and animal office we hear that there are several street elephants in Sukhothai, among them a baby elephant just two months old! The local authorities are working on it, so hopefully these elephants are brought home as well.
