Olifantasia was fantastic!
Saturday September 3rd it finally arrived: our fundraising party Olifantasia on the beach of Amsterdam. The sunny weather gave it a real Thai feel, which made the beachatmosphere complete. What a beautiful festival it was! It had something for everyone: different Dutch bands playing on the beachstage. In between some theatre acts in the sand. Thai massage and workshops juggling. Who wanted to take a rest from the busyness at the beach, could get himself a massage or a romantic sailingtrip. The kids had their own kidscorner with a huge elephant aircushion to jump on. After the Thai buffet, the dj’s started turning their tables in a special tent, which made even more people to join our party. Inside people danced into the night, whereas outside people gathered around a cosy camp fire.
We have raised 80.000 elephantsteps with this fundraisingparty. Apart from that it was very special to see so many people together who all supported our project in their own way: a enormously motivated group of volunteers and many donators and sponsors. Olifantasia got a lot of media-attention. All in all it has been a very succesfull fundraisingparty.
